NetQuest I-2400 Interceptor for SONET/SDH

Real-Time Optical Network Survey and Content Auto-Discovery

The NetQuest I-2400 Interceptor for SONET/SDH provides non-intrusive selective monitoring access  to packet streams on concatenated or channelized SONET/SDH interfaces, enabling Ethernet-based tools to gain access to packet data traffic independent of TDM transport network or protocol type.

The I-2400 Interceptor supports broadband backbones and links ranging from high-speed OC-48/STM-16 to lower speed E1/T1, fractional E1/T1, and DS0 channelized links. The Interceptor automatically detects and qualifies the physical and transmission protocol parameters of all identifiable traffic streams carried over OTN and SONET/SDH/PDH.

Through deep analysis of the framed streams, the I-2400 determines the type of protocols present, such as PPP, Frame Relay, MPLS, cHDLC, PPPoE, etc. This automated insight enables users to quickly identify which traffic should be forwarded to upstream tools for analysis.
