NetQuest Named Finalist in Cyber Defense Magazine’s Annual InfoSec Awards for Network Threat Detection Innovations

Network Survey and Intercept Enhanced with Big Data Analytics Recognized for Leadership in Efforts to Prevent Cyber Attacks

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ – March 21, 2018 – NetQuest Corporation, a leading manufacturer of cyber surveillance solutions, today announced that it has been named as a finalist in the 2018 InfoSec Awards presented by Cyber Defense Magazine (CDM).

As one of the industry’s leading electronic information security media outlets, CDM evaluated more than 3,000 companies for their innovative endeavors and came away with 500 finalists. NetQuest is in consideration for the final 200 honorees which will be announced at the RSA Conference on April 16, in San Francisco.

“With the advances in hacking, malware, cyber-crime and cyber-terrorism as well as nation state cyber-espionage, we looked for innovators who could proactively help information security officials avert the next breach,” said Gary S. Miliefsky, Publisher of Cyber Defense Magazine. “Over the last year, NetQuest Corporation has responded to the rising threat of cyberattacks on long-haul transport networks by expanding access and monitoring capabilities. This work typifies the type of progress we look for in evaluating InfoSec Award finalists.”

While the threat of cyber attacks increases, long-haul optical networks are undergoing sweeping changes as traffic volume skyrockets over intercontinental submarine and emerging 5G mobile networks. NetQuest has demonstrated leadership in the search for cyber threats by introducing advanced capabilities through automation, network orchestration, all-optical switching, big data and analytics to its line of Interceptor and Alpine Patrol monitoring and access platforms.

“NetQuest is providing broad visibility to an unprecedented volume of traffic and giving today’s mission-critical monitoring tools a significant advantage in detecting advanced cyber threats,” said Jesse Price, CEO and President of NetQuest Corporation. “CDM’s annual InfoSec award program honors the type of progress that is driving change in the cyber security industry and we are honored to be named in the initial round of finalists.”
